What is success? I would like to show you from the bible what it is.
1. Romans 4:19-21
And being not weak in faith, he considered not his own body now dead, when he was about an hundred years old, neither yet the deadness of Sarah’s womb: He staggered not at the promise of God through unbelief; but was strong in faith, giving glory to God; And being fully persuaded that, what he had promised, he was able also to perform.
We sometimes think of our trials, hardships, temptations as failures but they are not. They are only obstacles of lessons on our road to victory.

2. Habbakkuk 2:3
For the vision is yet for an appointed time, but at the end it shall speak, and not lie: though it tarry, wait for it; because it will surely come, it will not tarry.
Timing blinds our eyes to divine reality. It is a hard thing to do but it is best stop waiting and start living.

3. Matthew 6:34
Take therefore no thought for the morrow: for the morrow shall take thought for the things of itself. Sufficient unto the day is the evil thereof.
This is an art in itself but it helps to keep our focus.

4. James 4:7-8a
Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you. Draw nigh to God, and he will draw nigh to you.
Let God have His way.

5. Hebrew 11:1
Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.
Let’s get things in perspective, we hear with our ears, we see with our eyes, we smell with our nose, we taste with our tongue and we feel with our touch BUT we believe with our faith.

6. Joshua 1:8
This book of the law shall not depart out of thy mouth; but thou shalt meditate therein day and night, that thou mayest observe to do according to all that is written therein: for then thou shalt make thy way prosperous, and then thou shalt have good success.
This is the only place where the word ‘success’ is mentioned. We tend to look everywhere for a quick formula for this and that instead of looking to the book of Books.
