Easter

His eyes were fixed on the ground while He wrote
As the woman caught in adultery stood alone before Him
He would not share in the accusations of her accusers
When they disappeared one by one
He said looking up with compassion
‘Go and sin no more’

Paradise awaits you
Jesus paid the price
Will you be there?

A woman of no repute was seeking deliverance and hope
Anointed the head of Jesus with the perfume of love
Washing His feet with her many tears of deep sorrow
And drying them with her hair
His gentle look said it all
‘Thy faith has saved thee’

Paradise awaits you
Jesus paid the price
Will you be there?

Via Dolorosa, the long road of suffering to the cross
Simon of Cyrene was chosen randomly from the watching crowd
And was compelled to carry the heavy cross of Jesus
Witnessing this unique moment in time
The Lord looked into his eyes
‘I’ll see you in Paradise’

Paradise awaits you
Jesus paid the price
Will you be there?

Two malefactors were hanging on their crosses each beside Jesus
One loudly railed on Him mockingly demanding his immediate release
The other embarrassed at this outburst rebuked his fellow felon
‘We deserve our punishment but not Him’
Jesus looked at him with love
Today, you’ll be in Paradise

Paradise awaits you
Jesus paid the price
Will you be there?

Peter, the bold proclaimed “I’ll never forsake you, not me”
“Before the cock crow you will deny me three times”
But Peter, confused by the day’s events denied Him thrice
Jesus turned and looked at Peter
His compassion said it all
My friend, I forgive you

Paradise awaits you
Jesus paid the price
Will you be there?
